I've been prescribed Horizant 600mg for my restless leg syndrome, and while it's been a game-changer for my sleep, I'm a bit worried about the long list of potentially severe side effects. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Are the side effects really that bad, or is it just a standard cautionary list? I've heard some horror stories, but also some success stories. If you've taken this, did you have any of the more severe side effects or were they manageable? Also, has anyone switched to a different medication that works as well but with fewer side effects?

I think the key is to start with a lower dose and gradually increase it. That way, your body can adjust and you might avoid some of the more severe side effects.

I've heard some doctors recommend starting on a lower dose, maybe 300mg at first, rather than jumping straight to 600mg.

I've had a few friends who reacted badly to it. One ended up in the hospital with severe liver issues. It's scary but rare. Just be vigilant and keep an eye on any unusual symptoms. Better safe than sorry.

I had to switch off because of some severe side effects, those allergies really did scare me, so i switched to something else. I'm guessing it depends on how your body reacts, but it's a decent shot.

I've been taking Horizant for a year now and haven't had any major issues. I did have some mild dizziness at first, but it went away. Keep an eye on the symptoms but don't let the warnings scare you off completely. It could be worth it.

I think the list of side effects is just standard. Most people don't experience the severe ones. I've had mild drowsiness and fatigue, but nothing I can't handle. It's really helped my RLS.

I had to stop taking Horizant because of the severe drowsiness. It was unbearable. My doctor switched me to Neurontin and it's been much better. No drowsiness and works just as well.

I’ve heard so much mixed stuff about Horizant. I’ve never tried it myself, but from what I’ve heard, it seems like a lot of the time the bad side effects tend to happen to people who have anxiety about medication in general.

Horizant was a lifesaver for me. I had mild side effects, but the relief from RLS was worth it. Just monitor your symptoms and talk to your doctor if you're concerned. You’re not alone,it's worth giving a shot.
