Life-changing or life-threatening? My experience with Zyprexa 10mg Tablets for bipolar disorder
I've been on Zyprexa 10mg for about 6 months now to manage my bipolar disorder, and it's been a rollercoaster. Initially, it helped stabilize my moods, but I've gained quite a bit of weight and feel constantly tired. Has anyone else experienced similar side effects? I'm considering talking to my doctor about adjusting the dosage. I've also heard about some serious side effects like high blood sugar and movement issues. Has anyone dealt with those? I'm really worried. On the plus side, my hallucinations have significantly reduced – it's not all bad.

Zyprexa gave me the worst insomnia. I was up all night, every night. It was brutal. I ended up switching to a different medication that doesn't keep me up at night.
I'm glad I found this thread. I've been thinking about stopping Zyprexa because of the weight gain, but I'm afraid of the withdrawal symptoms. Has anyone else gone through that?
Zyprexa was a lifesaver for me, but I had to quit because of the tremors and stiffness. It was like I was turning into a zombie. My doctor switched me to another medication, and I feel much better now. Maybe talk to your doctor about other options?
I've been taking Zyprexa for about a year now, and I haven't had any major issues. I gained some weight, but it's manageable. I've also been exercising regularly, which has helped a lot.
I'm on Zyprexa, and it's been a godsend for my bipolar. I don't remember the last time I had a manic episode. I think the side effects are worth it.
