I've been using Tazarotene 0.1% Gel for a few weeks now to treat my psoriasis, and while it seems to be helping with the shedding and inflammation, I've noticed some pretty uncomfortable side effects. I was hoping to hear from others who have used this medication and share their insights. Specifically, what can you do to mitigate issues like severe dryness or irritation? Also, has anyone experienced any of the rare but serious side effects? Drop me some wisdom and advice – I need all the help I can get!

I had some burning and peeling when I first started, but it went away after about a week. The key was to use it consistently but not too much. I also made sure to use a gentle moisturizer afterwards.

I haven't had any issues yet, but I'm a bit nervous about long-term use. Has anyone experienced any weird side effects after prolonged use?

I've been using Tazarotene for a few months now, and while it's helped my psoriasis, I've had some really weird skin reactions. My dermatologist made me stop using it for a bit because of the redness and swelling. Just be careful and pay attention to any changes in your skin. It is not worth risking your health for a clear skin.

The key is to be consistent but also patient. It took me a few weeks to see real improvement.

I actually had to stop using Tazarotene because the skin irritation was unbearable and I developed hives. I was really worried and had to see my doctor right away. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. Be cautious and if you experience any severe reaction, seek medical help immediately, don't wait for it to go away on its own.

Any suggestions on how to minimize those first few weeks of irritation? It's making me regret starting this treatment.

That burning sensation is no joke. I had to take a few days off to let my skin calm down. Just be patient and your skin will adjust.
