I was prescribed Viberzi 100mg Tablets a few months ago for my IBS-D, and I've had quite the journey. It's been a mix of relief and frustration. I'm curious about other folks' experiences.

I started taking Viberzi twice a day as prescribed. The first few weeks were rough—constipation was a huge issue and I had to be careful about how much and what I ate. But after a few weeks of adjustment, things got better.

I've noticed a significant reduction in abdominal pain and better stool consistency, which is a huge win for me. But I also have to deal with a lot of side effects. Has anyone else had similar experiences, and if so, how did you manage? I've also had a couple of really bad episodes of constipation.

What scared me was the potential for pancreatitis. They told me to watch for severe abdominal pain and stuff. What are the chances of this happening? I've been a bit paranoid about it.

I switched to Viberzi from another med, and it's been night and day. I used to have diarrhea 5-6 times a day, and now it's maybe once. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the relief. Just make sure to take it with food like the doc said—it makes a big difference. Upvotes: 19

I had to quit Viberzi after a month. The constipation was unbearable, and I was scared of the pancreatitis risk. I switched to a different med and it’s been better. I guess everyone’s body reacts differently. Upvotes: 32

Viberzi worked for me but had side effects. I've switched to a low FODMAP diet, and it's helped a lot. I don't know if the Viberzi did all the magic or the diet. Maybe both. Upvotes: 17

I’ve been taking Viberzi for a few months now, and while it has improved my IBS-D symptoms, I've been dealing with some intense stomach pain. I went to my doc and he said it might be pancreatitis. I'm super worried now. Does anyone else have experience of this? Upvotes: 27

I've been on Viberzi for a year now. It's been a game-changer for my IBS-D. I had some issues with constipation at the beginning, but my doctor adjusted my dose and it's been fine since. Just be patient and talk to your doctor. It's worth it. Upvotes are 18
