I was recently prescribed Bethanechol 5mg Tablets to help with bladder issues post-surgery. The doctor said it would help my bladder empty more completely, but I'm on the fence about continuing with it. I've only been on it for a week, but I've already experienced some dizziness and I'm worried about the more severe side effects I've read about. Has anyone else had this experience? I'd love to hear some success stories or tips to manage the side effects. If anyone has had severe side effects that they want to share, I'd love to hear that too. It's important to be informed about what we're putting into our bodies.

I took this after childbirth and it was a lifesaver. No side effects for me, just make sure you talk to your doctor about any concerns.

Be careful, my mom took this and had a terrible time with dizziness and almost passed out a few times. But I’m sure that’s rare.

I was so scared to take this because of the side effects, but my doctor assured me they were rare. I've been fine so far, just a bit of dizziness at first. It was worth it, I'm peeing normally again!

I think that it might be better than the alternative. I know someone who had a blockage and their bladders were removed.
