I was recently prescribed Bethanechol 5mg Tablets to help with bladder issues post-surgery. The doctor said it would help my bladder empty more completely, but I'm on the fence about continuing with it. I took this after childbirth and it was a lifesaver. No side effects for me, just make sure you talk to your doctor about any concerns.
Be careful, my mom took this and had a terrible time with dizziness and almost passed out a few times. But I’m sure that’s rare.
I was so scared to take this because of the side effects, but my doctor assured me they were rare. I've been fine so far, just a bit of dizziness at first. It was worth it, I'm peeing normally again!
I think that it might be better than the alternative. I know someone who had a blockage and their bladders were removed.
