I've been taking Dexlansoprazole 30mg DR Capsules for about three months now to manage my acid reflux. The medication has been a game-changer, reducing my symptoms significantly. However, I've recently experienced some side effects like nausea and headaches. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I know severe side effects are rare, but I'm curious to hear others' stories. How long does it typically take for side effects to subside, or should I be concerned? Also, are there any alternative medications that people have found helpful?.

I had a friend who took Dexlansoprazole and ended up with electrolyte imbalances. He had seizures and was hospitalized. I've quit medications with questionable side effects. But I know that Dexlansoprazole has helped many too.

The bone pain was my breaking point. I had to stop taking this medication. I'm now on a different one, and I feel so much better. Don't ignore those symptoms if they pop up.

I've had good experiences with Omprezole. It works well too and I don't get the same side effects. Might be worth talking to your doctor about switching.

I experienced severe skin reactions from this drug. It was terrifying, and I had to stop taking it immediately. If you notice any rash or blistering, don't wait to see your doctor.

This medication saved me from constant heartburn, but I did get diarrhea for a couple of weeks. The doctor said it was probably just my body adjusting to it. Stick it out for a bit, but if it gets worse or doesn’t go away then you should consult your physician.

I have lupus and my doctor was very cautious about prescribing Dexlansoprazole. She warned me about the increased risk of flare-ups, but so far, I've been lucky. Just be vigilant about any new symptoms.

Anyone else feel like they have a chronic cold while on this medication? My nose and throat have been irritated for weeks. I can't tell any difference between this and COVID.
