Ingrezza (valbenazine) has been a game-changer for many dealing with tardive dyskinesia and Huntington's chorea. By affecting certain chemicals in the brain, it helps reduce those uncontrollable movements that can be so debilitating. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects—some minor, others serious. I've been on Ingrezza for a few months now, and while it's helped with my symptoms, I've also experienced some dizziness and fatigue. I'm curious to hear from others: How has Ingrezza worked for you? Have you encountered any significant side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? Let's share our experiences to help others navigating this treatment journey.

I started Ingrezza a few weeks ago and I'm already feeling better. The involuntary movements have decreased significantly, but I've been experiencing some drowsiness during the day. It's manageable, but I wonder if it will go away over time. Has anyone else had this issue?

If anyone has experienced severe side effects, please share any tips for minimizing their impact. I want to be prepared for anything.

I wish I had better news. I experienced severe dizziness and even fainted once. I had to stop taking Ingrezza. It was scary, and I had to make an emergency room visit. You have to listen to your body.

I've never had to take a medication like this before. I’m not sure if I am ready for the side effects.

I'm new to all this and I'm nervous about taking Ingrezza. Can anyone tell me what to do if I experience an allergic reaction?

Ingrezza has been a mixed bag for me. It's definitely helped with my Huntington's chorea, but I've had some serious allergic reactions. I ended up in the hospital with swelling in my throat and had to be treated for angioedema. My doctor switched me to a different medication. It was a scary experience, definitely something to be aware of.

I've had great success with it so far, and the side effects have been minimal. I am feeling more energetic but I am also craving food like I’ve never felt before. It's weird, but at least I'm not hungry 24/7 anymore.
