I was recently prescribed Tikosyn 250mcg Capsules for my atrial fibrillation. The dosage seemed high initially, so I was concerned. Having read about the potential side effects, I was admitted to a monitored hospital ward for the first dose. My questions: Has anyone else had a similar experience? Were you also monitored? Were there any significant side effects? Are there any tips on managing the side effects of the medication? For those who have been successfully treated, how long did you take Tikosyn? Are there any alternative treatments you recommend?

I had a terrible reaction to Tikosyn. I experienced severe dizziness and chest pain. Make sure you're in a hospital when you start this medication. I was fine after I switched to another drug.

This medication is a game-changer for me. I had atrial fibrillation for years, and this is the first thing that's really helped. I didn't have any major side effects, just a mild headache sometimes.

I had to stop taking Tikosyn because of a prolonged QT interval. It's a serious side effect, so listen to your body and talk to your doctor. Make sure you stay in a hospital for monitoring at the start of the medication. Had a scary moment with this one.

I was worried about the torsades de pointes thing, but my doctor assured me it's rare. Still, be careful and do what you can to stay safe.

My mom was on Tikosyn, and she had some skin irritation. It went away after a few days. But it's serious stuff, so be cautious. Seek medical help immediately if you experience any allergic reactions. Really quality medication.

I've been on it for a month, and so far, so good. Just had a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing too bad. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

I've been on Tikosyn for a year now, and it's been a lifesaver. My doctor monitored me closely at the beginning, and I had no major issues. Just the occasional headache but nothing I couldn't handle.
