I was recently prescribed Acebutolol 200mg Capsules to manage my high blood pressure and angina. My doctor explained that it's a beta-blocker that relaxes blood vessels and slows the heart rate, which helps lower blood pressure and relieve chest pain. I'm also hoping it helps regulate my irregular heartbeat. I've started taking it, and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What side effects have you encountered, and how have you managed them? I've read about some serious side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone had any issues with severe dizziness or fainting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've never experienced any side effects from this medication. It's been great for managing my heart issues and blood pressure! I don’t even remember the last time I had chest pain.

I just started taking this and have been having a lot of headaches. Is this common? My doctor said it should pass, but it's been a couple of weeks and they're still pretty bad. Any tips on managing this?

I've been on this for a while and I've got to say, it's done wonders for my high blood pressure. It's not fun to have the dizziness and fatigue, but I can live with it. Just make sure to keep taking it consistently.

My brother had a slow heartbeat when he was on Acebutolol. It was pretty scary, but the docs adjusted the dose and it got better. If you feel your heart rate drop too much, definitely contact your doctor.

I've been on Acebutolol for a few years now, and it's been a lifesaver for my blood pressure. The side effects were minimal for me, just a bit of fatigue and dizziness at first. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns, and don't hesitate to report any side effects. As of now, I’m doing great and haven’t had any severe reactions.

I honestly didn't know beta-blockers could help with an irregular heartbeat. That's good to know! Maybe I should ask my doctor about switching.
