Oxtellar XR 300mg has been a game-changer for managing my seizures. The extended-release formula means I only have to take it once a day, which is a huge convenience. However, I've experienced some side effects, and I'm curious to know if others have had similar issues. Some days, I feel dizzy and weak, but the headaches are what really get to me. I've also heard about some serious side effects, and I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with those or if I should be extra careful. I'm hoping to find some community here to share tips and experiences.

My neurologist said that if I miss a dose, I should take it as soon as I remember, but if it's close to the time for my next dose, I should just skip it and continue with my regular schedule. Has anyone else had trouble with missing doses?

I had a friend diagnosed with epilepsy who had a lot of trouble with this med. I have to say, if your experience is good, consider yourself lucky.

Be careful with the serious side effects. I had a friend who ended up in the ER with Stevens-Johnson syndrome. It's rare, but it can happen.

I'm on a lower dose, 150mg, and I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds. I'm not experiencing too many side effects, and my seizures are still under control. Make sure to talk to your doctor about adjusting the dosage if needed.

I started feeling really weak and had some memory issues, but my doctor said it was just my body adjusting to the new medication. It got better after a few weeks. For me, the side effects were minor compared to the control over my seizures.

I've been on Oxtellar XR for a few months now, and the dizziness is brutal. Anyone else find that it subsides over time?

Yup, dizzy and sleepy are the normal things, I had to take a nap during the day when I fist started. But other than that, the medication has been life-changing for me. Felt more in control and less anxious about having a seizure.

Is it just me, or does Oxtellar XR make you crave salt like crazy?

I really wish my insurance covered this stuff better. It's so much cheaper to buy online and I don't know if that's a good idea.

I've had a pretty good experience with Oxtellar XR. The extended-release is great, but I did have some trouble with constipation at first. Making sure I drink lots of water and eat fiber-rich foods has really helped. I've not noticed the extreme side effects- however I think it's important to remember to report any unusual symptoms.
