I don't think I'd be scared about side effects if it meant I didn't have to worry about pregnancy for 8 years! Enough said!
I had to have mine removed after a year because of constant pelvic pain. It was really tough, so I'm definitely concerned about these side effects now.
I got the Liletta a year ago and have had no issues. Zero side effects! But I'm lucky, I think. Every woman is different.
I switched from the pill to the Liletta IUD and it's been a game-changer, especially since it helps with heavy periods. I had some issues with acne and greasy skin. But I'll take clear skin over my previous period pain any day.
I wish I'd known about the potential for depression before getting mine. It wasn't a major issue, but it was definitely something that affected me, and I wish I'd been more prepared.
