I've been taking Lisinopril-HCTZ 10/12.5mg tablets for about three months now to manage my high blood pressure. It's been working well, but I've been experiencing some side effects, such as dizziness and a persistent cough. I'm curious to know if anyone else is dealing with similar issues and if there are any tips or tricks to mitigate these effects?

On a positive note, my blood pressure has been well-controlled, which is great for reducing my risk of heart attack and stroke. However, I'm a bit worried about the potential for more serious side effects, especially the rare but severe ones listed. Has anyone had any scary experiences or know someone who has?

I also want to know if anyone's seen improvements in these side-effects over time?

Also, how do you handle the fluid and electrolyte imbalance symptoms? If you do experience side-effects, what did you do in order to mitigate them?

I've had some serious kidney problems in the past, so I was really worried about taking this medication. But so far, so good! Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.

I had a bad cough for a while after I started, but it went away after a few months. Just hang in there if you're experiencing that!

I switched to Lisinopril-HCTZ from another blood pressure med because of better results, but I've had some bad side effects that led me to switch back. The cough was honestly the worst for me

I can't believe how much better I feel since my blood pressure is under control. The side effects are nothing compared to the benefits. And yes, the persistent cough is annoying, but I'm willing to put up with it.

I've noticed that my skin is more sensitive to the sun since starting this medication. I always wear sunscreen now, even if I'm just running errands.

I wish I'd known about the potential for severe stomach pain. That was rough. But overall, it's been a good experience.
