I was recently prescribed Tolvaptan for my Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) and started taking the 90/30mg Tablet Pak. Has anyone else here tried this medication? I want to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. What side effects did you encounter, if any, and how did you manage them? I'm especially interested in hearing about long-term effects and how it has impacted your kidney function over time. I'm also curious about how the medication interacts with other treatments or daily habits. How do you balance staying hydrated, especially when you have to drink water only when you feel thirsty? Any tips or tricks you've found helpful would be greatly appreciated.

If you experience any severe side effects, like mood changes or confusion, seek medical help immediately. These symptoms can be really serious.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Tolvaptan. I’m so glad I experienced it in a controlled environment, when I could quickly get help. I know it’s rare, but it was scary.

This medication isn't a cure, but it definitely helps manage the progression of ADPKD. It's important to keep an eye on your electrolyte levels and stay in close contact with your nephrologist. I've had to make some changes to the rest of my medication regimen, but it's manageable.

Hang in there, everyone! We're all in this together. I've had to make lifestyle adjustments, like cutting down on salt and being more meticulous about my fluid intake.

I've been on Tolvaptan for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer for me. My kidney function has stabilized, and I haven't had any major side effects. Just the usual thirst and frequent bathroom trips, but it's worth it to slow down the cyst growth.

I think it’s interesting that this medication makes you more thirsty. I know it’s designed to do that, but it’s still weird. Like, why can’t we just slow down the cyst growth without the thirst?

I feel really lucky that this medication has helped me so much. It’s been a lifesaver, and I’m grateful every day for the progress I’ve made with it.

I experienced some dizziness and muscle weakness when I first started, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it got better. The main thing is to stay hydrated and listen to your body.
