I was recently prescribed Mexiletine 150mg Capsules to treat my ventricular arrhythmias, and I've been curious about others' experiences with this medication. It's been a bit of an adjustment, and I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with similar issues. The side effects list is extensive, and while I haven't experienced any of the serious ones, the common ones like dizziness and tiredness have been a bit challenging. I'm also cautious because I have a history of heart failure, and I know that Mexiletine can potentially worsen that condition. Has anyone else had to manage this while on Mexiletine? I'd love to hear your stories and any tips you might have for dealing with the side effects. I've heard that staying hydrated and eating smaller meals can help with some of the gastrointestinal issues, but I'm open to any advice that might make this journey a bit smoother.

I've been on Mexiletine for a while and have had some issues with changes in eyesight as well. I recommend having regular eye check-ups while on this medication. It might be nothing, but it's always good to be safe.

I just started Mexiletine and I'm already feeling so much better. My heart feels like it's actually beating normally again. I know the side effects can be tough, but for me, the benefits have totally outweighed them. This thread is a great reminder that everyone's experience is different, and it's important to stay informed and vigilant.

I've been on Mexiletine for a few months now, and the dizziness has been tough to deal with. I've found that getting up slowly from sitting or lying down helps a bit. Has anyone else noticed if this side effect gets better over time? I've also had some trouble sleeping but stayed on the meds as directed by my cardiologist.

Feel tired all the time, this medicine must be worse than the heart problems for me. Anyone else having this problem?

Mexiletine has been a game-changer for me. I was terrified of the potential side effects, but I've had very few issues. I've had some trouble with urination but I've found it changes as I take in more water. My heart has been so much more stable, and I've had fewer episodes of tachycardia. I'm also pretty cautious when it comes to heart medications—I've seen firsthand how important it is to stay on top of things.

I've been on Mexiletine for over a year now, and while the initial side effects were tough, they did subside after a few weeks. I also noticed that my heart rhythm has become much more stable. Stick with it—I know it's hard, but it's worth it. If you are experiencing dizziness or a bad headache, I would recommend contacting your doctor and discussing with them how to address it.

I started taking Mexiletine a week ago and I'm already feeling a bit off. Does anyone know if these side effects will go away over time? I don't want these side effects to be permanent.
