I was recently prescribed Pyridostigmine 60mg Tablets to help manage my myasthenia gravis symptoms. The medication has been a game-changer in improving my muscle strength, but I've also experienced some side effects that have been concerning. I wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else has had similar experiences and to share tips on managing these side effects. The urgent side effects listed are really scary. Has anyone else had trouble with any of these symptoms?

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have been on this medication for a while. How do you manage the side effects, and has your body adjusted to the medication over time?

I’m also curious about how often people need to take it daily, and if it's necessary to take it at the prescribed times or if it's okay to just take it whenever, regardless of hunger levels. It seems like so many things can affect my daily function.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their pupils? Mine got really small, and it was a bit disconcerting. I had a lot of trouble adjusting to reading and working on the computer. I was worried a lot of the time.

I was really scared when I first started experiencing muscle cramps. It was terrible. I had to stop taking the medication for a while and then talk to my doctor. I was able to switch to a different dosage and it really helped. I wish I had known about that a lot sooner. This medication is highly important, so if it's not working for you, please talk to your doc.

I had a weird experience with this medication. I started sweating profusely and I felt my heart racing. I was worried about how the meds I was taking were affecting me.

I've been on Pyridostigmine for about 6 months and honestly it's been a life saver. The side effects are manageable and definitely worth it for the improvement in muscle strength. I did have some stomach issues at first but they went away after a while. I've also noticed that taking it with a light meal makes a big difference. Sometimes I even skip the tablet because I forget, and that's bad news for me.

I had a really rough time with excessive sweating when I started. It was so bad I even had to change my clothes multiple times during the day. My doctor suggested taking it with a light snack, and that helped a lot. I guess it's all about trial and error.

Just wanted to add that I've heard some people have had success with adjusting the dosage. If you're struggling with side effects, it might be worth talking to your doctor about tweaking the dose.
