This thread is so helpful. I’ve heard about Mestinon but never really understood how it works. Acetylcholine levels make so much sense now. Makes me feel more comfortable taking this medication.
My doctor told me to be especially aware of trouble breathing and stomach issues. Coincidentally, I actually experience hard breathing in my first few months of taking this. It went away after a while, but I was in the hospital for a bit. I think I’ve been more cautious since.
I had a scary reaction with excessive sweating and slow heartbeat. Thankfully, I sought medical help right away. It’s so important to be vigilant with these symptoms.
