I've been taking Accupril 5mg Tablets for about 5 years now to manage my high blood pressure. I'm curious about the long-term effects and what others who have been on this medication for a similar duration have experienced. Has anyone noticed any changes in their side effects over time? I've had some mild dizziness and a persistent cough, but nothing severe. Are there any specific things I should be monitoring with my doctor? I'm open to hearing both positive and negative experiences to get a well-rounded view.

I think the persistent cough is a common issue for many people on ACE inhibitors. It can be annoying, but if it’s not too bad, it’s better to deal with that than uncontrolled blood pressure in the long run.

Dizziness can be a bit tricky. Make sure to get up slowly from sitting or lying down to avoid feeling lightheaded. I’ve found that helps a lot.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their urine output? I’m a bit concerned about kidney issues and want to know if it’s something to worry about.

I think the most important thing is to have regular check-ups with your doctor. My doctor monitors my kidney function regularly because of the potential kidney problems. Also, keep in mind to report any severe side effects immediately.

I feel like Accupril has been a lifesaver for me. My blood pressure is well-controlled, and I haven't had any serious side effects. Just some occasional dizziness, but it's manageable.

I've been on Accupril for about 3 years and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild fatigue and occasional stomach upset, but nothing that’s been too bothersome.

Wow, I didn't realize the side effects could be so varied. I've been thinking about switching meds, but now I'm second-guessing myself. Maybe I'll stick with it and see how it goes.

I've been on Accupril for about 6 years. The first year was tough with some nausea and vomiting, but it's been smooth sailing since then. I do notice I get tired more easily, but it's worth it for the blood pressure control.

I started on Accupril and it gave me a terrible rash. I had to switch to something else. Everyone's experience is different, so it’s worth trying but be prepared to switch if needed.
