I'm hard at work doing chemo. I just started taking Lonsurf to attack metastatic colon cancer and I'm curious about how others are handling this. I've had significant hair loss and nausea so far, but I'm told that's normal. What about other side effects you've experienced that you didn't expect? How did you cope? What questions should I be asking my doctor about side effects that aren't listed? Are there any supplements or lifestyle changes you found helpful? Also, does anyone know about generic versions? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience! If you have any advice on coping with lethargy and fatigue, I'd love to hear it.

I've been on Lonsurf for a couple of months now, and while the fatigue is brutal, I've found that staying hydrated and taking short walks whenever I can helps a bit. Also, my doctor recommended a low- residue diet to help with the diarrhea, and it's made a world of difference.

I took Lonsurf for several months and my doctor said it was helping to stop my cancer from spreading. Each person's experience will be slightly different. Stay strong and keep fighting.

I've been lucky with side effects so far, just some mouth sores and fatigue. My oncologist recommended using a prescription mouthwash to keep the sores at bay, which has worked pretty well. I've also been using CBD oil to help with nausea and it's been a lifesaver.

I switched to a gluten-free diet and it helped with a lot of the stomach issues. Worth a shot if you're open to it.

I've been through a few different chemo rounds and Lonsurf has been the easiest so far, side effect wise. Just take it easy and listen to your body. If you're feeling crappy, it's okay to rest.
