I've recently been prescribed Xcopri (cenobamate) 150mg tablets for partial-onset seizures. I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. What has your journey been like? Have you encountered any of the side effects listed, especially the urgent ones? How did you manage them? Additionally, I'm interested in hearing about any long-term effects or benefits you've noticed. Thanks in advance for sharing!

I had a severe allergic reaction to Xcopri. It was terrifying—I woke up with a swollen throat and rushed to the ER. I was told it's rare, but it can happen. If you experience any of those symptoms, don't wait it out.

I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety in the past. Does anyone know if Xcopri could exacerbate these conditions? It's been terrible so far.

Be very careful with this drug. I ended up in the hospital with some serious side effects. I had shortness of breath and swelling in my legs, which can be a sign of heart problems. I thought it was just a bad reaction, but it was really serious. I ended up with bruising and bleeding too. The doctors said it was rare, but it happens. I had to switch medications.

I'm on my third day of Xcopri and I can hardly walk straight. Any suggestions on how to deal with this issue?

I started Xcopri about 6 months ago and it's been a game-changer. My seizures have decreased significantly, but I did have some dizziness and fatigue at first. It subsided after a few weeks. Just be patient with the adjustment period.

Remember, everyone's experience is different. I had some balance issues at first, but they went away after a few days. The thing that worked for me was talking with my doctor about it. If you experience problems, the best thing to do is talk to your doctor right away. Don't wait because it could make it worse.

Has anyone noticed improvement in their daily functioning? I'm worried about the side effects but also hoping for a better quality of life.
