I was prescribed Lorazepam 2mg/ml Drops 30ml for anxiety and it's been a lifesaver. However, I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of the urgent side effects like hallucinations or severe dizziness? I want to be prepared if something comes up. Also, does anyone know how long it takes for your body to get used to this medication? The doctor mentioned it's typically for short-term use, but I'm not sure what that means exactly. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Be careful with this stuff. A friend of mine ended up in the ER because of severe breathing problems. It's scary stuff.

I had some weird memory issues when I first started taking it. It was like walking through a fog. The doctor assured me it was normal and should pass, which it did. Just be aware that it might happen.

I've been on Lorazepam for a few months now, and I haven't experienced any of the urgent side effects, thankfully. I did have some dizziness at first, but it went away after a week or so. As for how long it takes to get used to it, it varies. For me, it took about two weeks to feel like it was working well without the initial side effects.

I wish more people would talk about the withdrawal symptoms. Coming off this stuff is no joke. I got bad tremors and insomnia. It was rough.

I've had it prescribed before, and I experienced drowsiness. It was really bad. I couldn't stay awake for anything. It's worth the tradeoff for the relief from anxiety, but it's something to be aware of.

To be honest, this medication saved my life. I was having constant panic attacks and couldn't function. I'd recommend it to anyone in a similar situation... but be cautious and listen to your doctor.

Lorazepam can be really helpful, but it's important to use it as directed. I've heard horror stories about people who became dependent on it and had a hard time coming off. Stick to the short-term plan your doctor prescribed and talk to them if you feel like you need it longer.

I had a bad reaction to Lorazepam. I felt really confused and restless, but I ended up OK.

Have any of you tried other medications for anxiety? I'm curious if there are alternatives that might not have as many side effects.

When I started taking this, I was so paranoid. I felt anxious and couldn't sleep. My doc said it was just the initial reaction and I got over it. Luckily, no hallucinations or severe dizziness or anything like that. I'm pretty relieved.
