I've been prescribed Lortab 10-325mg Tablets for managing my chronic pain, but I'm experiencing some side effects that are concerning me. The medication is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, which seems effective for pain relief, but the side effects are making me wonder if it's worth it. I've been feeling dizzy and sleepy, which is manageable, but I'm also experiencing some constipation and upset stomach. I've read about the severe side effects like allergic reactions and serotonin syndrome, which is worrying. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Are these side effects something to just power through or should I be talking to my doctor? I feel like I'm just now realizing the potential dangers of opioids. I'd love to hear from someone who's managed to find a balance with this medication or maybe even found something else that works better.

Don't be afraid to switch doctors, either. Sometimes another doc can make a huge difference. I had to change mine because my original one was not as understanding as others.

I had a bad reaction to Lortab. I ended up in the ER with severe allergic reactions. It was terrifying. Please, please be careful and listen to your body. If something feels off, get medical help right away.

I've been on Lortab for a while and haven't had any major issues. The dizziness can be annoying, but it's manageable. Just make sure you're staying hydrated and eating well – that can help with some of the side effects.

I've heard that hydrocodone can be pretty addictive. Have you talked to your doctor about maybe trying a non-opioid pain reliever instead? I know it can be tough dealing with pain, but it might be worth exploring other options.

I tried every trick in the book to combat the side effects – increased water intake, laxatives, fiber-rich diet, and still had issues. Talk to your doctor. A lot of people seem to benefit from being switched to different medications.

Side effects can vary, but it is always good to stay informed. The FDA website has a lot of good information. https://www.fda.gov/medwatch.

Lortab can really mess with your gut. I had to take it for a few months after a bad car accident, and the constipation was awful. I ended up using stool softeners and increasing my fiber intake, but it was still rough. Talk to your doc about it – they might have some suggestions.
