I've been using Loteprednol 0.5% Opth Susp 5ml for a few weeks now after my recent cataract surgery. It's been effective in reducing the swelling and redness, but I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. I want to hear from others who have used this medication—what side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them? Did anyone experience any severe side effects or allergic reactions? My doctor gave me some information, but I'd love to hear personal experiences. I'm especially curious about the long-term effects and if anyone had to switch to a different medication because of the side effects.

I used Loteprednol after my LASIK surgery and had a burning sensation for the first few days. It went away after a week, but I also had some blurred vision. I wore sunglasses a lot to help with the sensitivity to light. Overall, it was worth it for the quick recovery.

I wish my doctor had warned me about the sensitivity to light. I was walking around like a vampire for a week!

I’ve been using it for a month and honestly, the temporary pain after using it is worth it. The redness went down quickly and my vision improved. Definitely worth talking to your doctor if you have concerns.

I've heard that some people experience runny nose and sore throat. Anyone else have that?

My eye doctor recommended Loteprednol for my conjunctivitis, and it worked wonders. The only issue was feeling like something was always in my eye. It went away after a while, though. Definitely a great medicine if you need it!

I had a bad reaction to Loteprednol. I got hives and swelling around my eyes. Ran to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Have you had any similar experiences?

Make sure to check the expiration date and store it properly. I had to toss my bottle because it was past the expiration date and started getting all cloudy.

Personally, I got no side effects from Loteprednol. It just seemed to work for me flawlessly. Maybe it was luck, but it was a good experience overall.
