Lotrel 5/40mg Capsules: My experience and questions about this high blood pressure medication
I was recently prescribed Lotrel 5/40mg capsules to manage my high blood pressure. I've been taking it for a few weeks now, and while I understand it contains amlodipine and benazepril, I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this medication. Has anyone here dealt with significant side effects? I've had a bit of dizziness, but nothing too severe. I've also had a persistent cough. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. This medication was prescribed to lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes, and I've heard it can be effective, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything important. The side effects listed are quite concerning, and I want to ensure I'm not experiencing anything urgent.

My mom was on Lotrel and it made her really sick. She started to experience swelling in her arms and legs and even had some chest pain. She had to switch to something else. Be vigilant!
Side effects can be scary, but remember, they don't happen to everyone. Stay positive and keep an open line of communication with your doctor.
I got prescribed this a few months back, and I was so scared of all the potential side effects. But I haven't had any major issues. Just be aware of your body and keep an eye on any warning signs.
I've been on it for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of dizziness at first, but it went away. Stick with it if it's working for you.
Dizziness and cough are actually pretty common with Lotrel. My doctor said it should subside over time, and you might consider calling your healthcare provider to confirm. Stay hydrated and rest when you can!
I've been on Lotrel for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for me. My blood pressure is finally under control, and I haven't had any severe side effects. Just a bit of dizziness at first, but it went away. Stick with it if it's working for you.
I switched to Lotrel after trying a bunch of other meds. It's been a lifesaver for me. Just make sure to monitor your blood pressure regularly.
Be careful with Lotrel. I started having trouble breathing and swelling in my legs. Had to switch meds immediately. It’s not worth risking your life over this stuff.
