I've been prescribed Loxapine 10mg Capsules for schizophrenia, and I'm trying to learn more about the side effects and what to expect. The leaflet that came with it was a bit overwhelming—do any other users experience any of the common side effects like drowsiness or dizziness? Any suggestions for dealing with them, or how long do they usually last? I'm also a bit nervous about the severe side effects mentioned like Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome and Tardive Dyskinesia. Have any of you heard of anyone experiencing these? It's important for me to know what to look out for.

I was prescribed loxapine by my doctor for schizophrenia, and the main thing I experienced was a dry mouth. It's a bit annoying but not terrible. I've been using sugar-free gum to help with it.

I've been on Loxapine for a few months now, and the drowsiness was definitely an issue at the start. It got better after a few weeks, though. As for the severe side effects, my doctor told me they're rare but to keep an eye out for any sudden changes in my body or behavior.

I know someone who developed Tardive Dyskinesia from another similar drug. It was really tough for them, so I'd definitely be extra cautious and keep an eye out for any unusual movements, especially in the face and mouth.

I was a bit worried about the hormonal changes mentioned, but my doc reassured me that it's pretty rare. Just be sure to report any unusual symptoms to your healthcare provider.

Drowsiness and dizziness were tough for me at first, but they did get better. The more challenging part was the restlessness and confusion. They were minor but still worrying. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated helped a lot.

I've had a similar experience. The dizziness was tough to deal with, but I found that getting up slowly from sitting or lying positions really helped. And yes, the doctor told me to be on the lookout for any sudden changes. I think it's crucial to have regular check-ups to monitor any potential long-term side effects.

I had a really bad experience with Loxapine. I developed a severe rash and had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER, and it was scary. Turns out, I was having an allergic reaction. If you ever experience anything like this, don't wait—get medical help right away.
