Lupron Depot-Ped 7.5mg Inj/1mth Kit: Our Experience and Concerns
Our daughter was recently diagnosed with Central Precocious Puberty (CPP), and our endocrinologist prescribed Lupron Depot-Ped 7.5mg Inj/1mth Kit. We're hoping to hear from other parents who have experience with this medication. What side effects have you noticed? How has it impacted your child's growth and development? We're particularly concerned about the potential for serious side effects like pituitary apoplexy and raised pressure in the brain. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

My daughter had some really bad bone pain after her second injection. It took a while to figure out what was causing it. Talk to your doctor if your child complains of any pain, especially if it persists.
We've had a good experience so far. My kiddo hasn't had any major issues, just some occasional stomach upset. It's a relief to know the medicine is working and buying us some time.
Dude, I feel like we're playing Russian roulette with these side effects. I wish there was more info on long-term effects. It's scary stuff.
Just a heads-up: track your child's height and weight closely. Sometimes the growth charts at the doctor's office can be off, and you want to make sure they're on track. That's how we caught a slight growth delay early on.
I'm a nurse, and I've seen kids on this medication. It's generally well-tolerated, but you should definitely be aware of the rare but serious side effects. Keep that list handy and trust your instincts.
I don't get why they don't make this stuff in a pill form. The injections are scary for the kids, and the site irritation is really unpleasant. But as far as I can tell, it's doing the job.
I just want to point out that the injection kit is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It's a little intimidating at first, but you can do this! Just take a deep breath and go for it.
My daughter had a really bad reaction to the first injection—she broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. We ended up in the ER. The doctor said it was an allergic reaction, and now we're looking into other treatment options.
Lupron Depot-Ped 7.5mg Inj/1mth Kit has been a godsend for us. My kiddo was starting puberty way too early, and it was affecting her emotionally and socially. The injections aren't fun, but nothing is compared to the alternative.
