Mag-Al Plus Liquid: Your Experience with This Liquid Antacid and Anti-Gas Medication?
I've been dealing with some pretty nasty heartburn and indigestion lately, so my doctor recommended Mag-Al Plus Liquid. I've been taking it for a few days now, and it seems to be helping with the acid and gas. However, I'm not sure if I'm imagining things, but I think I've had a bit of constipation since starting it. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I'm curious to know if anyone has had any other side effects or if this stuff is generally well-tolerated. I'm wondering if it's worth sticking with or if I should talk to my doctor about switching to something else. I've heard that Mag-Al Plus Liquid can cause diarrhea as well, so it seems like some people might have the opposite problem!

I had diarrhea after taking it. I guess my body didn't like it. I switched to something else and it's been fine since.
I love this stuff. Recently had a big wedding with lots of pizza and spaghetti. Needed 2 bottles to keep me from ending up in the bathroom all night. Definitely recommend it.
I'm a pharmacist and I can confirm that Mag-Al Plus Liquid is generally well-tolerated. But like all medications, it can have side effects. If you're concerned, it's always best to talk to your doctor.
I've been using Mag-Al Plus Liquid for a while now and haven't had any issues with constipation. In fact, I think it's helped regulate my bowel movements. Might be worth sticking with it for a bit longer to see if things change.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the taste. It's awful! Like drinking liquid chalk. But it does the job, so I guess I candeal.
I've had a similar experience with constipation. My doctor told me to drink more water and it should pass. Make sure you're staying hydrated!
