I’ve heard that magnesium sulfate can cause some serious side effects if not monitored properly. Is it common for everyone to experience these issues?

Has anyone experienced trouble breathing or muscle weakness? I had a friend who had a serious reaction to magnesium sulfate and it was terrifying.

I was given this medication for low magnesium levels and it was a lifesaver. My doctor monitored me closely and I didn't experience any severe side effects. Just a bit of flushing and feeling a bit cold, but nothing major. Just be sure to stay in close contact with your doctor and you'll be fine.

How often do people need to have this injection? It sounds like a rough medication.

I had a weird reaction to this medication. I felt like my muscles were on fire and I had trouble swallowing. Had to get checked immediately.
