I was recently prescribed Transderm-Nitro 0.2mg/hr patches to manage my angina, and I've been using them for a few weeks now. The patches have been effective in preventing chest pain, but I've experienced some side effects like headaches and skin irritation. I've heard from others that these side effects can improve over time, but I'm still adjusting. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had a similar experience or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. Additionally, I'm interested in hearing about any other strategies or medications people have used to complement the patches. Let's share our experiences and advice!

I've had some pretty bad skin irritation. My doctor gave me a steroid cream to use on the affected area, and it helped a ton. Hope you find some relief!

I've been on these patches for a while and the headaches did go away after a couple of weeks. Make sure to drink plenty of water, it helped me a lot!

Another suggestion for skin irritation is to make sure you apply the patch to a different spot each time. My doctor said rotating the location can help prevent irritation. I haven't had as much of a problem with it since I started doing that.

I found that taking a baby aspirin with the patches helped reduce some of the side effects. It might be worth asking your doctor.
