I've been prescribed Pemetrexed for my lung cancer treatment. Has anyone else experienced severe side effects or know how to manage them effectively? I'm especially worried about infections and bleeding. How do I stay vigilant and what should I do if I notice any urgent symptoms?

Always keep an eye out for any signs of bleeding or infection. If you notice anything unusual, don't wait—get medical help right away. You can also report side effects to the FDA if you have questions or concerns

I had a bad reaction to Pemetrexed - severe skin irritation and swelling. I ended up in the hospital. Be very careful and report any changes to your doctor immediately.

I feel you on the hair loss, I lost almost all of mine. It was really tough emotionally, but it grows back after treatment. Just hang in there.

Pemetrexed can be tough, but managing side effects is crucial. I found that staying hydrated and eating small, frequent meals helped with nausea and fatigue. Always have your doctor's contact info handy for urgent symptoms.

I had trouble with fluid and electrolyte imbalance. My doctor made sure my diet was balanced and I kept hydrated. It wasn't easy, but it helped a lot. Drink plenty of water and talk to your doctor about any mucus or urine changes.

Stay vigilant! I noticed a weird burning sensation in my feet and hands. Turns out it was nerve problems from the Pemetrexed. My doctor adjusted my meds and it helped a lot. If you notice anything unusual, tell your doctor.

I've heard of people having severe allergic reactions to Pemetrexed. If you have any symptoms like hives, wheezing, or swelling in your mouth or throat, go to the ER right away. That's a medical emergency.

Stay hydrated and monitor your temp closely. If you feel feverish or notice any signs of infection, go to the ER

My doctor said to watch out for fever, chills, or any signs of infection. I keep a thermometer by my bed just in case. Better safe than sorry!
