I recently had a procedure where Marcaine 0.5% Injectable was used for an epidural. The numbing effect was great, but I experienced some side effects that had me worried. I had a near miss with methemoglobinemia from Marcaine. My lips and nails turned blue, and I felt so weak. I thought I was dying. Fortunately, it was caught in time, but it was terrifying.
