I recently had a procedure where Marcaine 0.5% Injectable was used for an epidural. The numbing effect was great, but I experienced some side effects that had me worried. Has anyone else had similar issues? I want to know if these side effects are common or if I should be concerned. The most alarming was the tingling in my mouth and the metallic taste. I also felt really hot and then really cold, which was weird. Has anyone else experienced this, and can anyone put my mind at ease? I'm not sure if these are normal side effects, or anything more serious.

I had a near miss with methemoglobinemia from Marcaine. My lips and nails turned blue, and I felt so weak. I thought I was dying. Fortunately, it was caught in time, but it was terrifying.

I had a bad reaction to Marcaine during labor. I ended up with a severe headache and some back pain that lasted for days. Definitely talk to your doctor if you're feeling any lingering effects.

I'm really curious about the long-term effects. I've had Marcaine multiple times for various procedures, and I'm starting to wonder if it's really safe for frequent use. Anyone have any info on that?

I've used Marcaine for nerve blocks and didn't experience any of those side effects. Maybe it's just a personal reaction to the drug. I'd definitely mention it to your doctor though, just in case.

Wow, I had no idea Marcaine could cause so many side effects. I've had it a few times for various reasons and never had any issues. I'm definitely going to be more cautious now and pay attention to any unusual symptoms.

I had the same thing with Marcaine. The tingling and metallic taste were definitely weird, but my doctor said it was normal. Just make sure to stay hydrated and monitor your symptoms.

I think Marcaine is great for local anesthesia, but the side effects can be scary. I had a bit of dizziness and shortness of breath, but it went away quickly. Just keep an eye on any severe symptoms and seek help if needed.

I think the side effects are scary, but the benefits of Marcaine are great. It allows for painless procedures, which are pretty important. Just be aware of the risks and talk to your doctor. Don't forget to ask about alternatives too!

I've never had Marcaine but I'm scheduled for an epidural for my C-Section and I was wondering if anyone has experienced burning or tingling in the lower half of the body? I'm freaking out a little.

I've never had side effects from Marcaine, but I've had a few friends who did. Just remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medications. It's worth a call to your doctor if you're concerned, and don't ignore any major symptoms.
