I was recently prescribed Matulane 50mg Capsules for Hodgkin's disease, and I've started taking it. I'm glad it's an oral medication, but I'm nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else taken this? What was your experience like? I'm particularly worried about the serious side effects like allergic reactions and bleeding. I also noticed that it can cause dizziness and fatigue, which could impact my daily life. Any tips on managing these side effects would be appreciated! Additionally, I'm curious if anyone has dealt with the more unusual side effects like hallucinations or mood changes. I want to be prepared for anything, so any insights or advice would be super helpful.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Just remember, it’s temporary and it’s fighting something even worse. Best of luck with your treatment!

I was on Matulane for about six months. The dizziness was manageable, but the nausea was pretty bad. Ginger tea helped a lot. Also, keep an eye on your blood counts—they can drop quickly. My doctor ordered weekly blood tests to monitor everything and stay on top of any potential problems.

I took Matulane for a few months and the fatigue was brutal. Make sure you rest a lot and listen to your body.

I’m not a doctor but I’ve heard that staying hydrated is key with any chemo. Drink lots of water, eat small meals and rest as much as possible. You got this!

I had a friend who took Matulane and he swore by the ‘no alcohol’ rule. It can seriously mess with your liver so be careful.

I noticed some weird skin changes and muscle aches. Not fun, but not as bad as some of the other side effects people talk about. Yoga helped a lot with the muscle pain. The skin stuff went away after I finished the treatment.

I understand the depression and mood changes can be tough too. Make sure to talk to your doctor if you feel like it’s getting too much. There are meds and therapy that can help. Don't suffer in silence.

Serious question: how do you deal with the potential allergic reactions? I’m terrified of that happening. Anyone have any tips?
