I've been dealing with severe motion sickness and vertigo for quite some time now, and recently, my doctor prescribed Meclizine 25mg Chew Tablets. I wanted to share my experience and side effects for anyone else who might be considering or has been prescribed this medication. Meclizine is an antihistamine that helps prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness by affecting certain natural substances in the brain that control balance and nausea. The medication works well to alleviate the symptoms, but it's important to be aware of potential side effects. Someone asked my doctor, 'What should I do if I experience side effects from Meclizine?' My doctor said to seek medical help if I experience any of the following symptoms like rash, hives, itching, wheezing, trouble breathing, or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. These are signs of an allergic reaction and need immediate medical attention. Other possible side effects include feeling sleepy, dry mouth, headache, feeling tired or weak, and throwing up. While I didn't experience anything too severe, I've had a couple of sleepless nights due to feeling drowsy. I'm still figuring out how to adjust my dosage and routine to minimize these side effects. I do want to know if anyone else has had similar experiences or any tips to share.

I had a really bad reaction to Meclizine. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER, and they warned me never to take it again. Please be careful!

I'm more concerned about the serious side effects. Has anyone here had an allergic reaction to Meclizine? What did that look like, and how were you able to seek help?

Meclizine really helps with my vertigo, but I've noticed it makes me feel a bit foggy and my mouth is always dry. I've looked online, but how long does it take to stop feeling those side effects as your body adjusts? It has been a few weeks and I still feel them.

Meclizine is super effective for motion sickness, but it turns me into a zombie. I can't function normally when I take it. Anyone else feel this way?

I had a weird experience with Meclizine. It made my mouth so dry I could barely swallow. I ended up switching to another medication. Has anyone else had issues with dry mouth?

I took Meclizine for vertigo a few years back. The drowsiness was the worst part, but it did help with the spinning sensation. I found that taking it at night helped with the sleepiness. Also, chewing gum helped with the dry mouth. Give that a try.
