Hello everyone. I've recently started using Memantine Tablets Titration Pak for my moderate Alzheimer's disease. As I'm sure many of you know, this medication helps balance natural substances in the brain to improve memory and daily activities. I'm curious about the side effects, especially those that are rare but serious. The possible side effects include dizziness, diarrhea, and constipation, but the serious ones like allergic reactions and confusion are what worry me the most. I am really grateful for any input about managing these symptoms and what to do if they become severe. I'm also interested in hearing from others who are taking this medication and how they're faring with it. Thanks in advance!

I started Memantine a few weeks ago and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild headaches, but they go away after a few hours. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried Namenda IR as an alternative? It's a different form of Memantine that some people find easier to tolerate.

This is helpful, I've been struggling with diarrhea and my doctor says to stay hydrated and keep up a balanced diet, but does anyone have specific dietary tips?

I've been surprised at how well it's worked for my dad. He's more alert and engaged these days. Just keep an eye on those side effects, people!

I think it's important to track any side effects you experience. Keep a journal and note the time, severity, and any triggers. This can be really helpful for your doctor to adjust your dosage or switch medications if needed. My doctor has been very helpful in managing side effects by adjusting my dosage and putting me on a different medication.

I’ve read that some people find that taking Memantine at night helps with the dizziness. It might be worth a try if you're experiencing that side effect.

Be careful with this stuff. My mom was on it and it didn't work well with her other meds. Always check with your doctor about interactions.

I wish they had a better system for reporting side effects. The FDA website is a bit clunky, but if you're having serious issues, it's worth it to document them. Remember, your experiences can help others!

I had a bad experience with this drug. I started getting really confused and ended up in the ER. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. Be very cautious if you start feeling off.
