I've been taking Memantine/donepezil ER 21mg/10mg CP for a few months now for my mother's Alzheimer's. While there have been some improvements in her memory and daily functioning, I've noticed a few side effects that have been concerning. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. What side effects have you or your loved ones experienced? How did you manage them? Are there any tips or advice you can share?

I'm also wondering if anyone has had any significant improvements in their loved one's condition while taking this medication. I'd love to hear some success stories or any encouraging words. I know it's a tough journey, and sometimes it's just nice to be reminded that we're not alone.

My husband has been on this medication for about 6 months, and it's been quite a journey. He had some initial stomach issues, but they subsided after a few weeks. Overall, his awareness has improved, and he seems more engaged in daily activities. I'd be interested to hear from others who have had similar experiences.

I found that the dizziness can often be managed by ensuring they stay hydrated and avoiding sudden changes in position. My mom was having fainting spells, and her doctor recommended this to her. It’s helped significantly as far as I can tell, though it’s still a struggle.

I've seen my grandma’s mood improve with Memantine/donepezil ER. It’s not perfect, but it’s a step in the right direction.

I recommend documenting everything as detailed as possible, even daily, ask your doctor how to do it. Also, feel free to keep notes about what you are observing from your loved one who is on the medication. It can help your doctor in the decision making process.

Glad to hear some good news amidst all the tough stuff. I've noticed my mom has been sleeping better. It's a small miracle since her sleep was a mess before. Any tips on managing the fatigue?

My mom had severe allergic reactions to this medication, so we've had to switch to something else. I'm really disappointed because I was hoping it would help her more than it did. I hope things get better for everyone else.

If anyone here has noticed any significant cognitive improvements, please share! It’s an uplifting change that's hard to come by.
