I've been prescribed Mesalamine 0.375gm Capsules to manage my ulcerative colitis. Apriso has been a game-changer for me, but I've had some worrying side effects. I want to know if anyone else has experienced similar issues or has advice on handling them. I'm particularly concerned about the serious side effects mentioned, like allergic reactions or kidney problems. Has anyone had to deal with these? What did your doctor recommend? Also, how do you manage the more common side effects like stomach pain and nausea?

I switched to Apriso because my old medication wasn't cutting it. I had some nose and throat irritation, and it was pretty uncomfortable, but nothing too bad.

I've only been on it for a month, but so far, so good. I'm just trying to keep my fingers crossed that the side effects don't get worse. Anyone else feeling the same way?

I've been lucky to only have some minor side effects like gas and burping, but it's definitely been a journey. Definitely recommend keeping an eye on your symptoms.

I had some really bad itching and a rash. I thought I was having an allergic reaction, but my doctor said it was a rare side effect. I'm on a different med now, but I hope this helps someone else!

I experienced severe abdominal pain and was rushed to the hospital. It turns out I had to stop the meds because of an allergy. I'm just grateful that my doctor was able to diagnose it in time.

I've heard some scary stories about Mesalamine, but for me, it's been a lifesaver. I've had minimal side effects and my UC is finally under control.
