I've been taking Mesalamine 0.375gm capsules for my ulcerative colitis for the past few months, and I wanted to share my experience and some important side effects to watch out for. This medication has been a game-changer in managing my flare-ups, but it's crucial to be aware of the potential risks. I've noticed some mild side effects like stomach pain and gas, but luckily nothing too severe. However, the urgent side effects listed are quite concerning, and I think it's important for everyone taking this medication to be aware of them. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Mesalamine? What side effects did you encounter? Let's discuss and share our stories to help others who might be starting this treatment.

Has anyone tried other medications if Mesalamine didn't work for them? I'm curious about alternatives.

Be careful, guys. I had a bad reaction to Mesalamine once, ended up in the ER with a severe rash and fever. It can be life-threatening if you're allergic to it.

Totally agree with the regular check-ups. Blood tests are kind of a pain, but they give me peace of mind.

I had to stop taking Mesalamine because of severe kidney problems. It's a bummer because it really helped with my UC, but my health comes first. Now I'm on a different medication, and it's working out so far.

I've been on Mesalamine for a year now and haven't experienced any severe side effects, just some occasional headaches and dizziness. I was really nervous about the kidney problems and liver issues, but my doctor keeps a close eye on my health. I recommend regular check-ups!

I've been on Mesalamine for a few months and haven't had any serious issues. I do get some gas and occasional stomach pain, but it's manageable. Definitely worth it to control the flare-ups. But I'll keep an eye out for those severe side effects!

I was really worried about the heart problems side effects, so I talked to my cardiologist before starting Mesalamine. She said the risk is low but to monitor my symptoms closely. I feel much better now.

Wow, I didn't know about the skin reactions! That's terrifying. I'll make sure to watch for any signs of that. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yup, I had some mild head pain too. I would be cautious with it.
