I've been taking Mesalamine 800mg DR Tablets for about 6 months now to manage my ulcerative colitis. It's been a game-changer in terms of reducing inflammation and keeping my symptoms under control. The slow-release feature is great because it targets the inflammation in my colon directly. However, I've experienced some side effects like occasional stomach pain and dizziness. I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication long-term. What kind of side effects have you experienced, and how have you managed them? Also, I've heard that the side effects can worsen if you don't take the medication as prescribed. Any advice from those who've navigated this?

I'd love to hear all the wins, the bumps, and any tips to make the journey smoother.

I started getting severe kidney issues when I was on Mesalamine. I stopped taking it immediately and now I'm trying other treatments. It's really scary, but I'm hopeful I'll find something that works.

I feel like a bloated carcass after taking Mesalamine. Has anyone else experienced this? I would love to hear your stories. I've also heard that if you don't take the medication as prescribed, that can make the side effects worse, so it might be worth checking with your doctor.

My doctor just prescribed me Mesalamine after struggling with other treatments. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the kidney problems. Has anyone experienced this, and what did you do?

I've heard that Mesalamine can sometimes cause skin reactions, but I'm thinking of giving it a try. Has anyone encountered this?

I've been on Mesalamine for a year and it's done wonders for me. I barely experience any side effects. My doctor told me it's important to take it with food to minimize stomach issues.

My doctor told me that if I skip a dose or take it at different times, it can make my colitis flare up again. It's a bit of a hassle but I try to take it at the same time every day to avoid any issues.
