I was prescribed Mesna 1gm Inj, 10ml to protect my bladder and urinary tract during chemotherapy. I've had a few side effects and I'm curious to hear about others' experiences. The side effects listed are quite extensive and it's hard to know what to expect. Has anyone else had issues like muscle cramps or abnormal sensations? The urgent side effects list is a bit scary, so I'm hoping to hear from others on what to be vigilant about. How have others dealt with the common side effects of Mesna, like stomach pain or fatigue? Any tips on what helps?

I'm sorry you're going through this. My dad had Mesna, and he mentioned a lot of fatigue. Make sure to rest and listen to your body. You'll get through this!

I think the more we know, the more cautious we get. So, sharing all side and adverse effects is good for awareness. Just make sure you are in good hands and monitored regularly by your medical team.

I had a friend who had Mesna while undergoing a lot of chemotherapy. They didn't report much but did say they felt a lot of weakness and dizziness. They were always tired and sometimes weak to the point of fainting. You have to take care of yourself and have someone to take care of you.

I don't have much to add but wanted to say you got this! Mesna is just a small part of a long journey. You are stronger than you think. Keep going, and remember what you are fighting for. 💪

So, I just read this and I'm glad I'm not the only one who experiences sensations of tingling and numbness. I've been worried this might be something serious. Any suggestions how to deal with this?

I just started Mesna and I'm really nervous about the allergic reactions. Did anyone experience any of that? Should I be preparing to rush to the ER in case of an emergency?
