I started taking Metformin ER 1000mg Modified Tabs a few months ago to manage my type 2 diabetes. I've heard a lot about the side effects, especially the serious ones, so I wanted to share my experience and see if others have had similar issues. The medicine is supposed to help control blood sugar levels, but I've been dealing with some stomach problems. Has anyone else experienced this? How have you managed it? Also, I'd love to hear any tips on handling low blood sugar episodes. I've had a couple of scary moments, and I'm not sure I'm handling them right.

I had a really bad reaction to Metformin ER. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. I ended up in the ER and was told it was an allergic reaction. I switched to another medication and haven't looked back.

If you're experiencing lactic acidosis, seek medical help immediately. It's a rare but serious side effect. Symptoms include muscle pain, trouble breathing, and feeling cold and tired.

I had an experience with Metformin ER where I felt really weak and shaky. I thought it was just exhaustion at first, but then I realized my blood sugar was really low. I had to keep glucose tabs around just in case. It's also important to check blood sugar levels frequently, if possible.

Metformin ER is not the only option. If the side effects are too much to handle, talk to your doctor about other medications. There are plenty of alternatives out there.

This should help control your blood sugar. Have you tried adjusting your diet? I know it's tough, but cutting down on carbs can make a big difference.

I'm dealing with the same issues. It's hard to know if the side effects are worth it. It's a tough pill to swallow, literally and figuratively!

It's important to talk to your doctor about any side effects. Some people might be able to tolerate the medicine better with a lower dose or by splitting the pill. Have you tried talking to your doctor about your low blood sugar issues?

Metformin ER has been a game-changer for me. I started with the 500mg and gradually moved up to 1000mg. The side effects were annoying at first, but they've subsided a lot. Just make sure you're hydrated and eating enough fiber.

Stomach upset is a common side effect, especially if you increase your dose too fast. I found that taking the pill at night helped a lot. Also, make sure you're not taking it on an empty stomach.
