I've been prescribed Methyldopa 500mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure, and I'm curious to know if anyone else has experience with this medication. I've read that it's commonly used during pregnancy, but I'm a 45 year old male and have not heard a ton about it. Any insights or tips on managing side effects? The listed possible side effects are pretty concerning. I've been dealing with some fatigue and headache, but I'm not sure if that's normal or if I should talk to my doctor. Appreciate any advice!

I've been on Methyldopa for a few months now, and I've noticed that my urine is darker than usual. Is this a side effect I should be worried about?

Has anyone else noticed weight gain while taking this? I'm not sure if it's a side effect or just my diet, but I've gained a few pounds.

I'm on Methyldopa and have experienced some weird issues with my blood. I've had to get regular check-ups to make sure everything is okay. I think it's worth it, though, because my blood pressure is finally under control.

I've heard that Methyldopa can cause some serious side effects, so definitely keep an eye out for any signs of allergic reactions or liver problems. It's better to be safe and contact your doctor if you notice anything unusual.

I've been so tired since I started taking Methyldopa. I feel like I'm always dragging, but it's worth it to know my blood pressure is under control.

I switched to Methyldopa because other blood pressure meds didn't work for me. It's been a lifesaver, but the drowsiness is real. I've had to adjust my sleep schedule to accommodate it.

I was on Methyldopa during my pregnancy and it worked wonders for my blood pressure. I didn't experience any severe side effects, just some mild drowsiness and headaches. Make sure you talk to your doctor about how you're feeling though.

I'm currently taking Methyldopa, and the dizziness is pretty bad. My doctor said it's a common side effect, just really hard to deal with. I need to get my blood pressure down, especially with my family history of heart disease.

I took this medication years ago and had to get off it because of the brain fog. Never experienced any of the serious side effects, though. Just be cautious and listen to your body.
