I've been prescribed Metoprolol ER Succinate 25mg Tabs for my high blood pressure and occasional angina. It helps a lot, but I've had some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. Mostly, I feel dizzy and tired, but sometimes I get a bit nauseous. Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me wonder if these are the only side effects I should worry about. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

I had chest pain as a side effect, but it was a rare case that was reported to the FDA for investigation. Please call the FDA at these symptoms

Feeling weak and dizzy. I just wish it's going away. My doctor is taking care of my issue.

I wish the extended-release was even longer. I sometimes forget to take it because it doesn't feel like a big deal.

I experienced some pretty bad shortness of breath and swelling in my legs. I had to stop taking it. I'm on a different medication now and it's much better. Be cautious and listen to your body.

I haven't had any major side effects, but I do feel a bit tired. It's not too bad, though. I think it's a fair trade-off for the benefits. Just stay hydrated and give your body time to adjust.
