Metronidazole 0.75% Topical Cream for Rosacea: How Effective is it and What are the Side Effects?
I have been given Metronidazole 0.75% Topical Cream to manage my rosacea symptoms, I've seen some improvement but I am bit concerned about the side effects listed in the leaflet. Has anyone else tried this and should I be worried about the side effects listed in the leaflet? It told me they are rare, but some seem quite serious. Is this something I should talk to my doctor about? I want to make sure I'm doing everything right so I can treat my rosacea effectively, but I don't want to risk my health.

Just a heads up, metronidazole can make you more sensitive to the sun. Make sure to wear sunscreen!
I had a burning sensation when I first started using it, but it went away after a week.
I wish I could find something that works for me at the same time I struggle with side effects
I had a bad reaction to Metronidazole Cream before and had to stop using it. I'd keep an eye out for any allergic reactions or nervous system problems.
I've been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any issues. My skin has improved. Just make sure to use it exactly as prescribed. If you worry talk to your doctor.
I've heard that some people get dry skin from it. Make sure to moisturize regularly.
I've been using it for years with no issues. Just make sure to patch test it first. It will let you see if you are going to have any sort of bad reaction
