Metronidazole 0.75% Topical Lotion: My Experience with Rosacea Treatment and Side Effects
I've been using Metronidazole 0.75% Topical Lotion for the past month to treat my rosacea, and I've noticed a significant reduction in redness and bumps on my face. However, I've also experienced some side effects like mild burning and stinging. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. How long did it take for you to see improvements? Did you experience any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any unexpected side effects or tips for minimizing discomfort while using this topical treatment. My dermatologist mentioned this medication isn't always well received, and some people have an allergic reaction. I've been careful to look out for symptoms like rash, hives, or trouble breathing. I've also been monitoring my mood for any changes mentioned in the warning information, but I'm otherwise happy with the progress so far.

I had a similar experience. It took about 6 weeks for my rosacea to improve, but I didn't experience any major side effects.
I've been using it for a few weeks too, and I've had dry skin on my face. Any tips to deal with that?
I wouldn't be worried so much about the side effects, most of them were rare, you'll probably be fine.
I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but I'm glad it's working for you. I think I'll give it a shot.
I had trouble breathing after using this. I had to go to the ER. I hope you guys are careful.
I think the burning and stinging sensations for me lasted about 2 weeks. I got used to it after awhile. It's bearable.
I used this stuff for a while and it did help, but I had to stop because it made me so irritable. I've never had a problem with medication side effects before.
Hay, I swear by this stuff. I've been using it on and off for years. No serious side effects for me.
This stuff is a godsend. It's the only thing that has really helped control my rosacea. I'd try it again if I were you.
Be very careful, my friend got a rash after a few days of use. It was pretty bad to be honest. Maybe you should be on the lookout for that...
