Micardis 20mg Tablets: Telmisartan for High Blood Pressure - Any serious side effects I should watch out for?
I've been prescribed Micardis (Telmisartan) 20mg for my blood pressure. My doctor said it should help lower the risk of heart issues as well, but does anyone have experience with this med? It's supposed to relax your blood vessels, but the list of possible side effects is a bit concerning. I know everyone is different, but I'd love to hear about your experience and any advice you might have. Has anyone had experience with the more serious side effects? I'd like to be prepared. I'm also curious if it has any of the dizziness or stomach issues I've had with other pills.

I’m surprised so many people have had side effects... I’ve been on it for two years and really have no complaints. It's a godsend for me
My blood pressure was out of control before Micardis, and it's been super helpful for me. I haven't had any issues with it, so hopefully, it will work the same way for you. But yeah, if you feel any of those serious side effects, go to the doctor right away.
I got really bad dizziness when I started taking it. My doctor said it should go away, but it didn't for me! I ended up switching to another med. Maybe my case is rare, but just keep an eye on it.
I took it for a month and felt fine, but my kidney function tests were horrible so I had to quit. It's scary stuff.
I've been taking Micardis for a year and never had any issues... until now. I woke up this morning with a swollen face. I’m definitely going to talk to my doc about it.
I’m amazed it really works. Having to take less pills, and my blood pressure is normal! I’m so grateful and there’s never any side effects.
I had to stop taking it because it caused me to have some really bad itching and rash. I think it was an allergic reaction, so just be cautious if you notice anything like that.
Micardis has worked wonders for me. I've had no side effects at all! It definitely helps keep my blood pressure down. Just make sure to take it as prescribed. Good luck!
