I recently started taking Microgestin 1/20 Tabs 21s Yellow for birth control and have been experiencing some mild side effects like headaches and nausea. I've also heard some pretty scary stories about more serious side effects. Has anyone else had similar experiences? What are some tips for managing side effects and when should I seriously consider talking to my doctor? I want to hear from anyone who has taken this or similar birth control. It would be great to get some real, honest feedback from people who have been through it.

I've been on it for a while and it's been fine for me. My first month was tough with spotting and cramps but I changed my diet and it got better. Just remember to drink lots of water and try to eat healthier. Plus, taking it at the same time every day really helps. I'd personally suggest you not stress out too much about side effects, but also monitor yourself. If symptoms get worse or you start having bleeding between periods, make sure to call your doctor.

I've been on Microgestin for a year now and I haven't had any issues. My periods are lighter and more predictable, which has been a huge plus for me. But I make sure to take it at the same time every day. I know that messing with the schedule can cause spotting and other issues. I would suggest you set an alarm to make sure you don't miss a day.

I've been on Microgestin for a few months now and I've had some pretty bad headaches. My doctor told me to try taking it with food, which helped a bit. I personally suspect that some of the side effects are due to my body getting used to a new hormone. It seems to be happening less often now. I think it's different for everyone but most of the problems go away with time.

I've had some breast soreness and headaches, but nothing too bad. I heard that some people gain weight, but I haven't noticed any changes yet. My doctor mentioned that it could take a few months to fully adjust.

I had some serious side effects from Microgestin, including really bad migraines and some weird vaginal symptoms. I was really worried about it, and my doctor switched me to a different brand. I think everyone reacts differently, but if you're having serious issues, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor. It's better to be safe.

I'm on my third pack and I'm still getting used to the spotting. I've been trying to keep a log of my symptoms to show my doctor at my next appointment. Usually, I log my symptoms in the Notes app on my phone. It seems to help my doctor understand how bad it is. I would recommend anyone doing the same. It has helped me a lot.

I never had any side effects but I know someone who had to go to the ER for blood clots. Definitely not worth it if you have any family history of blood clots. If you get any swelling or pain in your legs, go to the ER right away.

Had a few friends on this and all of them had different reactions but a lot of nausea. I hope yours gets better.

I had some pretty bad mood swings when I first started taking Microgestin, but they went away after a couple of months. I was really scared at first because I had no idea what was going on. The best advice anyone ever gave me was to track my mood on a calendar to see if it was worth it.
