I've recently started taking Micronase 5mg Tablets for my type 2 diabetes and I'm looking for some insights from others who have experience with this medication. How has it affected your blood sugar levels? Have any of you experienced any of the side effects mentioned in the drug information? I've been taking it with my first meal of the day as prescribed, but I'm curious about other people's experiences and any tips for managing potential side effects. Also, does anyone know if there are any specific foods or activities that could interfere with the medication? Do any of you actively monitor your blood sugar levels with a glucose meter to make sure it's working? I know the package mentions symptoms of low blood sugar, but I'm wondering how common these are in everyday use. Have others had success with this medication or have you tried something else that you prefer? All input is welcome!

If you do start experiencing any severe symptoms, don't just wait, and see if it gets better. As soon as any of the symptoms arise, make sure you contact your doctor right away. Even if your doctor tells you that your symptoms are okay, and to monitor, there is no harm in getting a second opinion.

I've had a great experience with Micronase. My blood sugar levels have been much more stable since I started taking it. I haven't had any serious side effects, just a bit of heartburn sometimes. I take it with a light breakfast and it's fine. When I first started getting my blood sugar, I found it quite useful to keep a food journal, as well as monitor my blood pressure and blood glucose levels. I'd recommend this to anyone starting a new medication. It's a really good idea to track everything so you can really figure out how your body reacts to the new meds.

Low blood sugar is no joke. I ended up in the ER because I didn't recognize the symptoms at first. Now I keep candy in my pocket everywhere I go, just in case. I wish I had been aware of the symptoms before.

I've heard people talk about the liver problems, so sorry to hear that's you're experiencing that. Have you checked with your doctor about it?

I've been on Micronase for a few months now. It's definitely helped lower my blood sugar, but I did experience some dizziness at first. My doctor told me this was likely due to low blood sugar, and I've managed it by making sure I eat regularly and keep glucose tablets on hand. It's a good idea to monitor your blood sugar levels closely when you start any new diabetes medication, as you may need to adjust your diet or dosage. It's also important to be aware of the signs of an allergic reaction, although I haven't experienced any of those issues myself.

I take Micronase and I think it's totally fine, honestly. I haven't had any problems so far, knock on wood. Let me know if you guys experience anything weird. I've also found it helpful, as a type 2, to start exercising, as well as modifying my diet.

I had a strange rash a while back, it was quite itchy and red. I thought it was the Micronase, so I stopped and then my blood sugar levels just went everywhere, so I don't know. I think you just have to play it by ear, and consult with your doctor.

Be careful with this one, folks. I switched to a different medication because I just couldn't stand the upset stomach. It was so bad, I felt like I couldn't even eat.

I've been on Glyburide for years. It's been a lifesaver, really. I've had to adjust my dosage a couple of times, but overall, it's been great. I just stick to my diabetic meal plan and I'm good to go. One of the best tips I've received is to keep a food journal. It's really helpful when you're starting on a new medication, as you may need to adjust your diet, or your food intake, as well as your medication.

I'm not the biggest fan of this one. I've had to switch to something else because of the rash.
