I've been suffering from severe migraines for years, and my doctor recently prescribed Migergot Suppositories. I was hesitant at first because of the potential side effects, but I decided to give them a try. The suppositories contain ergotamine and caffeine, and they're supposed to help narrow the swollen blood vessels in my head that cause migraine pain. I've only used them a few times, but I've noticed a significant reduction in pain. However, I'm worried about the serious side effects mentioned in the pamphlet. Has anyone else tried these and had any issues? I'd love to hear some experiences from others.

Why do they have to be suppositories? I mean, come on. It's so inconvenient.

Migergot Suppositories are my last resort. I've tried nearly everything to treat my migraines. I've also had to use them a few times when my normal acute migraine meds were not working. The suppositories have really helped me, but it's important to weigh the benefits and risks. I know the risks are there, but for me, the relief is worth it. I keep a close eye on any side effects and report them to my doctor.

I had to stop using Migergot because of some really scary side effects. I started getting severe chest pain and my fingers turned blue. I went to the ER and they told me it was because of the ergotamine. It was terrifying, and I won't be using it again.

I've used them with very good success. I've never had any side effects but I had to stop using them because my insurance wouldn't cover them. This is a really frustrating part of the whole experience. I just hope my insurance changes it's mind. I'm always trying to find a new treatment to help manage my migraines, and these were a big help. Just make sure you do a lot of research before you start using them, and be aware of the side effects.

I had no idea caffeine was in migergot. That's interesting.

Finally, a thread about this! I've heard mixed things about Migergot. It works really well for some people, and then some people seem to react really badly to it. So much so that they had to stop using it.

Has anyone experienced rectal sores from using these? I'm really worried about that side effect.
