I've been prescribed Mirtazapine 45mg for my depression, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. I've heard it can cause some serious side effects, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about starting this medication. Has anyone else dealt with this? What were your experiences like, both good and bad? What should I really be on the lookout for? I'm also curious about how long it takes to start feeling the effects. Some people say it can take a few weeks, but I've also heard stories of it working much faster. Any insights would be super helpful!

I've been on this med for years now, and it's been great. I do feel more drowsy in the morning, but it's a small price to pay. I've gained some weight but nothing drastic. Actually, it made my appetite so strong I had to watch out for the types of food I ate. Only lasting side effect is some mouth dryness. I keep a pack of gum handy. The weight gain is a bit of a pain, but otherwise, it's been a lifesaver.

I started Mirtazapine a few weeks ago, and I'm already feeling the drowsiness. It's not too bad, but I'm also noticing some mood swings. I'm not sure if that's the medication or just my body adjusting. I'll keep monitoring and give it more time. Looking out for the severe side effects mentioned in the description, really scary stuff

I've been on Mirtazapine for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my depression. The drowsiness was intense at first, but it's actually helped me sleep better at night. Just be careful if you have to drive or do anything that requires focus during the day. I experienced some cravings in the beginning and even gained weight but I am managing - it does feel like a fair trade for stability. But seriously, watch out for those serotonin syndrome symptoms. Had a friend who went through that - scary stuff.

The worst part of this medication for me was the vivid dreams. I woke up every morning feeling like I had been on an emotional rollercoaster. That being said, once I adjusted, they were actually really interesting. They made me realize I was stressed by events from the past that I had never dealt with. Without the dreams, I might not have gone to therapy and worked through them.

Mirtazapine saved my life. I was suicidal before I started taking it, and now I feel like I can actually live again. But seriously, keep an eye out for those side effects. I had a friend who went through serotonin syndrome, and it was terrifying.

I've been on it for a year now, and I haven't had any major issues. But I did have a weird rash on my hands and feet for a while. Went to the doctor and found out it was related to the medication. Doc switched me to a lower dose and the rash went away. Has anyone else had something similar happen?

I had a bad reaction to Mirtazapine. I developed a rash all over my body, and my doctor said it was a severe allergic reaction. I had to stop taking it immediately. If you notice any redness or irritation, stop taking it and go to the ER.

I actually lost weight on this med. Just tested my doctor on the profile of the med and he swore it was for weight gain - either way, it just goes to show you it affects everyone differently. That being said, I do have those vivid dreams mentioned in the description. My dream life is so weird now, but the doctor says it's normal.
