I've been prescribed Mitomycin for bladder cancer and the side effects scare me. I already have a low tolerance for pain and vomiting, so I'm worried about the upset stomach and vomiting. I'm also concerned about the severe and potentially life-threatening side effects mentioned. Has anyone else experienced serious side effects from Mitomycin? How did you cope? What do you wish you had known before starting this treatment?

My doctor mentioned that severe lung problems are rare but possible. If you start feeling short of breath or have a persistent cough, don't wait—get to the ER. It's not worth the risk.

I've been on Mitomycin for a few months now and haven't experienced any serious side effects. I did have some hair loss, but it wasn't too bad. The worst part was the frequent urination. Make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if anything concerns you.

I'm glad I found this thread. I start Mitomycin next week and I'm really nervous. Thanks for all the detailed info, guys. Here's to hoping for the best!

Just remember to reach out to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns, even if they seem small. It's better to be safe and they know what they're talking about.

I had a severe reaction to Mitomycin, so I want to share my experience. I developed an allergic reaction with hives and trouble breathing after my first infusion. I was taken straight to the ER and had to be monitored for a few hours. The doctor said it was rare but possible. I switched to a different treatment since then.

It's important to monitor for signs of bleeding too. I had a friend who had uncontrollable bleeding after a similar treatment. It's scary, but catching it early can make a big difference.
