Hello Reddit, I've been prescribed Modafinil 200mg Tablets for my narcolepsy, and I've been on it for a month now. It's been a game-changer for my alertness during the day, but I've also heard some concerning stories about side effects. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had similar experiences and how you dealt with the potential risks. I would like to know more about your experiences and what precautions you take. Has anyone actually experienced any of the severe side effects listed in the leaflet? If so, how did you manage it? And is there any reliable long-term data on this medication? Thanks in advance for sharing your stories and insights. I just want to ensure I'm making the right decision with my health.

I understand where you're coming from. When I first started Modafinil, the insomnia was a little rough. I found that taking it earlier in the day helped with that. Also, the doctor said it could take a few weeks to adjust to the medication fully. I took it for a month and half and it never worked for me.

I have experienced some mental health changes on Modafinil. I've been feeling more anxious. It is important to keep in mind that this drug can cause severe skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). In some cases, these reactions can be life-threatening. I am taking it for a while now and never felt better in my life.

I've been on Modafinil for a couple of years now, and it's honestly been a lifesaver for my shift work sleep disorder. I barely have any side effects, but I do take it easy on my caffeine intake to avoid overstimulation.

Just be mindful of the legal implications too. In some areas, Modafinil is a controlled substance and you can get into trouble for possession without a prescription.
